A Green Minded Opinion

About Me

I am a student studying in Southern California.  I am concerned about the environment, endangered animals and plant species, global warming or climate change, and man's impact on the world whether it be social, political, economical and environmental. 

We are borrowing this land from the future generations, your children and grandchildren, and we should do everything we can to preserve and protect it for them much like what our ancestors did for us.  We are a vital part of the evolutionary chain of human existence (or extinction) on this earth because we are the top of the food chain - consumer, user, and abuser of this Planet.  We have no enemies - only within us - ourselves.  As we have witnessed with the recent catastrophies, our actions do have an impact regardless of how insignificant they maybe, if we don't respect Mother Earth our own existence would be at risk. 

As far as my existence, I was raised in a fun loving strict Christian home by two DIPS - Dual Income Parents - who for the most part did the best they could to instill good values, beliefs, and discipline that would make them proud.  They cared little about the environment, valued money, and all the materialism in this world which contradicts what I've been taught in church about God and the Bible.  This has led me to this journey of finding my own true identity by questioning my own beliefs - the reasons of existence and our purpose in life, and stumbled onto this site.   After reading about other people's articles and their own journey, I am not alone in this quest as we strive to find answers to questions we have about ourselves and others.

Hopefully, I can begin some discussions about your existence, our environment, how they are forever intertwined and how we can all change our actions for a brighter future.
